BA:

Power is 182 kW @ 5000 rpm
Torque is 380 Nm @ 3250 rpm

BF:

Power is 190 kW @ 5250 rpm
Torque is 383 Nm @ 2500 rpm

There's also a heap of NVH revisions for BF too.

From memory, BF = more compression and independently tuned VCT for each cam

Here's a good link, not only for BA/BF I6, but all current Falcon engines:

BA vct, 182 kw

BF dvct, 190kw, more gearbox choices. no brake problems, no water pump problems in the xr series (what i heard from when the ba first came out FROM A DEALER!)

really they just ironed out the bugs. interestingly, the bumpers are interchangeable. if you smash a ba front, a new one from ford is $1400 painted. the bf? only $800 WTF?

actually there was a thing in the sun today. 2003 magnas are worth a grand total of about $4500. For a three year old car. go the ba (find a good one) and save the money for a house or something

Thats wot you get for buying a Magna. No one wants them ebcause of their tendancy to explode at random.

Possibly, but theres a fella who drives about in his blinged up magna, and it sounds pretty good. 3.5L or not, I still reckon they'd give falcons a run for their money...

I wouldnt use a magna for a bucket...come on 4.5k for a 3.5L bucket that weighs too much.

You can get the latest model magna motors for bitamissin for like 400-800 buks now. Its for the model before the 380. But i seen them and was like i wanna build a mean gokart with one of those...imagine that??
