Just wondering if there are different fuel pumps for 4.0 vs. 5.0; also if later model stuff (AU-FG) is better and if it is interchangeable with stock E-series 4.0 stuff.

Time to have a look at the Goss Products catalog, or the Fuel Miser catalog & see what they say.

IIRC EA to ED, the 4.0 & 5.0 fuel pumps are the same. Probably the same in EF & EL too. With the AU, the 220kw v8 might have had a bigger pump.

You might have to modify your fuel pump holder to fit anything other than a stock for your setup pump.

Cheers

ea to early el i6 and v8 use the same pump, but late el/au to fg has a different style pump carrier, im not sure if the pump itself can be mounted into the e series..

the pump flow is pretty much the same between them all, its just the different fuel regs that give different pressures

I see that a lot of guys running forced induction have upgraded to aftermarket pumps; at what stage do you need to consider upgrading?

the std pump can supply enough fuel for up to aprox 160-180rwkw n/a set up...
you can fit a walbro 255 high flow pump to a std n/a set up if you want but its not necessary..
