hi this might be a dumb question dont know, but i have an el gli sedan with a head that needs replacing. on the front it has 65aa cast onto it and got another one that has 64ab cast into the front are these interchangable or should i track down one with the same number. sorry for asking a dumb question dont know a great deal about fords have been mainly a holden man till now

can any tell me what the numbers mean? or if there is a pdf or something if some info on them? eg port sizes valves etc

esentually its the year it was cast, eg 91aa/ab was made in 1991 , 94 ab was made in 1994 95ab was 1995 ect...
when there is a dt as in 94dt its a 1994 tickford head, dt=tickford.. |
