I'm so close to the completion of putting back together the EA. Now I tugged on the dipstick and it won't budge, its stuck tight. I even got the grips onto it but its stuck! Has any1 else had this before and know what could be the problem?

I't wiggles a bit. I got the vice-grips on it again and yanked and wiggled so violently until the car was rocking and my back was gonna break. Now i'm really worried i've done a serious f**k-up for it to be that stuck. :(

Well last ditch option is use a screw driver to crush the tube in i.e make it smaller then get a new one.

Undo the bolt holding the tube, then pull both tube and dipstick out together.
Once both are out you should be able to work out what the problem was.
May need to replace tube and dipstick.

Ok, i got a closeup of what may be the problem, The pipe ends right against the sump seeming to jam it against there before going in the hole.

The tube should have been in the hole, unbolt it and remove both. Looks like the dipstick is going to be stuffed anyway.
