I Have been stuck in the middle of things before but this ones bites me hard, i pulled my dizzy out of my falcon , and now i cant get the bloody thing to go back in again , What could be the problem / help i need my car for work

:D did u mark the rotor button position before u pulled it out??? u need to put it back in the same spot as before. When ure putting it back in not only do u have to line the rotor up but u have to make sure the oil pump drive lines up in the bottom of dizzy. The oil pump drive isnt lining up with bottom of dizzy thats why it wont go all the way in. Sometimes can be a pain but keep trying it will go in eventually. :oops:

I tried for 3-4 hrs today , my hands are sore, I will be tryin more tomorrow but, When i go to put it in . The Dizzy is only goin in about 1 inch from entry from top of hole, ANd it not go anymore, Is that all cause of the oil pump drive u talking about. Or is there more to it ... :?:

As your putting it in, twist it, cause they are helical gears.

Also, push down on the dizzy, when turn the crank by hand . it will slot in as soon as the gears start to move.

if that fails, slowly tighten the dizzy lock nut while turning the crank, they can be a very very tight fit sometimes.

The dizzy is only goin in the hole like 1 inch , it no where near the gears yet, If it was near the gears i would of felt it. it strange , where the cog is on the dizzy Just above that is a circle thingy .The dizzy is only goin to that , not goin down , i have like a good 2 inchs to go before the dizzy will even drop in there, But it not droppin

Im tired of tryin , but am gonna get my baby XD back on the killer roads

Make sure that the Oil Pump Drive is located properly?

Thank You all , it help. I was able toget it in . I had to tap the dizzy with a wodden hammer softly till it went dwn , It must of got tight , Anyway it is in and running now. BUt another question for you , I got a set of hurracain extractors on my xd, They sound like it got a leak there but was told it the gas goin through the pipes, Is that correct .? The sound i get is like a tinny like sound
