you could do the "krogdahl" double over head cam conversion... was very expensive though... not sure if the company that does the conversion is still around..

Bob is no longer doing to those heads. but there are a few floating around still.

You seen one in the flesh/metal tickford_6?
Theres sweet f**k all information out there, let alone a picture of one.

they use toyota bucket followers, isky springs, unsure what valves he used.
belt driven cams with a choice of twin or single sparkplug.
they came in small port N/A trim or large port superchaged trim with a choice of valve size.
all manifolds and extractors had adapter plates made for them.

i used to have an info sheet here somewhere but i can't seem to find it.
he did a conversion on an EF XR6 and had the stock cam profile ground onto the new cams and it picked up something like 35rwkw.
with a agressive cam profile there would be some huge power gains to be had

yeah but I dont know how efficient the burn would be due to the original squish areas being deleted for the extra valves, doesnt matter how much air you get in there if you dont burn it effectively

Is it worth doing a DOHC E-series considering the power gain and huge cost?

it's still a 2 valve design. but yeah squish area is different because of hemi chamber
