hey guys, i need help on why my rear left door wont lock when i lock the car.. what could b wrong with it.. and how much would it cost to get fixed.. or could i fix it myself.. any help would b appreciated..

hey mate im a locksmith and it sounds like your centrol locking pump has gone (if you have central locking) if not then could have a rod that has broken or fallen off

yeah i have central locking.. and if it is the pump how much would that cost to get fixed..

if i was you ide just go to a wreakers and get one form them.. probably cost you $20 maybe?? not 100% sure unless you get it new then just call ford

make sure u take the pump out n take it to make sure u get the right one.. it should plug out n plug back in again.... but only thing is that u have to unbolt it and it can be a pain in the a**

ummm if you take the door skin off you can push the lock down by hand.. unless its jamed

ummmm there all different in all the cars.. where you take the otherone out put another one in the same spot

well its a 97 EL falcon.. so would it b in the actual door its self or somewhere else.. and shouldnt all doors b effected.. or is tehre a seperate pump for each door

There is no "central locking pump". Given that it is only 1 door it will be the door lock actuator motor in that door only.

every door has a differant pump.. its in the door itself usually behind or next to the door lock its self
