the stock reg just closes under vacume pressure, i spose its fully open at idle. One good way to lean the mixture is jam alot more air into her... that way works well

hahaha, you sound like JMM

you know they achieve a better A/F ratio from porting the head, not tuning. lol

Mine is running pretty rich too: ~12:1 most of the way thru the rev range. I'm running a XR6 reg so I'm going to drop back to a standard one and see how that goes. That won't get it running perfectly though so I think I'll go with a megasquirt, probably much the same cost as a malpassi reg anyway! :)

Yep, 3.45 LSD. My stockies with slightly lower profile tyres have a little smaller rolling diametre than my 17s so it's like having a higher diff ratio when running those. With those on I'm doing 50-60ks and grabbing 2nd by the time I hit the other side of a reasonably sized intersection 8-)

well new TB & intake went on this morning, many thanks to johno for fitting it on his day off!

the car def feels a lot more responsive - haven't taken it for a full blast yet, but seems to open out a lot easier & smoother. *hopefully* it will help out with it running rich too :?
