hey all, got my car on the dyno today, full list of mods include

its stage 3 engine (advertised for 145rwkw)
xh snorkel
k+n filter
ea TB to airbox pipe
pacie 4480 headers
highflow cat
2.5" lukey cat back
NGK 'r' series plugs
9mm eagle leads
advanced timming

Image

as you can see 140.9. im reasonably happy with that, how ever i was expecting around 150.

does anyone think i am expecting too much?

anyway enough winging, this was definatly an experience. ive never had a car dyno'd before and i found it quite exciting.

not realy after fixing the problems, and paying for fitting the engine cost about $4000

Watching cars on the dyno is good fun hey...

Tip top result. Good, strong power graph. Could probably get a bit more power under the curve with a tuning device as could go a bit leaner in the midrange.

Certainly a good effort - looks like great work from ITS

Probably. They advertised 145rwkw and you got 140. That 5kw could be explained by th edyno itself. Either way, shouldnt be too hard to tweak a few more ponies out of her. And sounds like its a fresh motor? So its gonna be good for years and years and years...

Dont get too caught up in the numbers man - how does it [i]feel?[/]

Martin pretty much got it right, also remember the climate/day your running takes in account a lot to your results to which people dont realise.

personally, chuck in some ba xr6t mkII plugs and see how you go, spiral core leads if yours arent already and maybe some ram air induction to give a bit more airflow?

feels alot better, not overly responcive, but when the revs get high, she gets going. its got nothing under about 2500rpm, but that is probably just the cam.

dont get me wrong, i know tis sounds like im just out to complain, IM NOT, i just thought it would have been a bit higher. BUT I AM HAPPY!

cost was $55 just for a power run. i diddnt think it was worth getting it tuned on the dyno, i was under the impression that they cant realy do much more to it with the standard computer.

They can't.
Not without a chip really.
(Until CAPA release there EA-EL Tuner... :P)
If you don't plan on doing much more to the motor in the immediate future, I'd personally lean towards getting it chipped.
Top off all your mods nicely!
