Both dedicated and dual fuel will have the restriction on the air intake.

No reason why you can't, but it won't be as effective as if you did it with a petrol only car.

I added an extra air hole in my airbox and used a K&N filter and could barely tell a difference, sound or performance wise.

Think of it like a bottle neck. Air >>>>>>>>----->> Engine.

mm yea i see your point!
my dad just bought a bf xr6 straight gas, and it actually has a different throttle body... with an actual port for the gas intake =S the other straight gas car i saw had the mixer ring though?

that sucks about the performance and sound..but i guess its something you have to miss out on with cheaper running cost :P
do gas cars with exhaust sound any different?

You can pretty much do the same exhaust and intake mods on the EGAS (except larger throttle body).

Although intake upgrades will help though ... you to get rid of the stock restrictor where the airbox lid meats the intake piping ... and change the intake piping to 3" with silicon bends ... you get some gains. I certainly did with my AUII EGAS.

In regards to B-series EGAS ... you can still get them EDITed ... but when it comes to cams ... there's little to no gain ... there is a big difference in the AU SOHC though over standard.
