Will a eseries cam go into an au and run without breaking things?
And before anybody gets their pantys in a twist I know that the ratios of the rocker ratios are different. But I'm just curios if the car would run.

nope. you would be lucky if it ran... the cam would be sitting in there loose...

im very sure the AU cam journals are physically larger.... even with earlier series rocker gear dont even bother it WONT work. Try putting an AU cam in an E series head it shouldnt even slot in.

the cam journals are the same from ea to au..

ive seen a au vct head with the e series valve springs , e series cam and rocker gear...

interesting i need to find this photo.... I had a photo of an AU head with e series rocker gear and cam and there was about a 4mm gap in the journal...

it will definatly work, I have seen e series cams installed into AU's, just need to change the rocker gear at the same time you change the cam. Maintain the correct ratio for the cam, no issues.

i seen it in person on saturday at cms. he was fitting a stage 4 au head with e series cam and rockers...on an au bottom end..

i even asked about it in curiosity..!

this comes up from time to time. i havent had someone say YET they've done it and it worked.

HOWEVER, i have seen people talking about it, who have SEEN people do it.
