Hey guys are all the e series manual bell housings the same? as in all completely interchangeable. Am asking because the wreckers reckon only one from an ea will built up to my ea , apparently the ea 3.9 liters have a completely different bell housing to the eb 4.0 liter
Just asking as i need to know what to buy for the planned manual conversion.

Cheers fellas. . Keep Loving That Ford

yeah man all the bellhousings are the same i have a ea t5 housing and gearbox in my ef all the blocks are the same in the 3.9's and 4.0's

my advice would be to aim at a ebII onwards conversion just for less wear and the later gearboxes have a syncro reverse, i also believe they have better ratios through the gears

How much can you expect to pay for a second hand T5 (not a reco)?

true, but 99% of reco boxes are exchange..
on the basis that ive picked up 3 good t5's from $200-350 i would think you wouldnt pay more than $100 for a stuffed one..
