Are the shims in a 3.9L head the same size as the ones in a 4.0L head?

Need to know asap so i can quickly buy a cheap cracked just for the shims.

the shims cost $72 new. i can get the cracked head much cheaper with the shims (if theyre the same size)

There are 2 different sizes, 14 mm (From memory) for early, 11 mm for late, not exactly sure when they changed but i think it was at the start of the 4.0 but i could be wrong.

Not sure if the above sizes are exact, it's been a long time.... I have a new set of the smaller shims here -1, and i may have some older ones laying around but would have to check.

they are the ones.

As walker said they did change around the time the 4.0 (sometime in the eb/ed range). The HLA's changed size and the shims changed to suit.
