Is there any difference between the EA EB cylinder haed and the EF head, any help appreciated

Pretty sure internally they are they same EF has a different rocker cover not 100% sure though.

eb ed have a code on them ... eg: 91aa and so so on ... they will fit but the car needs to have the code on the head ... el ef have the code as well .. just make sure the codes are the smae before u put another head on

Those codes are just casting numbers, they dont have to be the same at all.
There were slight differences in ports between castings, thats about it.
Some flow better then others, others (tickford heads) have better airspeed and make more power downlow.
