I just bought an EL fairmont and looking at the snorkel and airbox it is little different to my BA items, but significantly better than my EB items. I have made comments in the past about the BA snorkel and airbox being better, but this only really applies to the EA/EB/ED models. Although, the BA airbox does have a better filter and a better exit pipe than the EF/EL/AU. At least to my knowledge anyway.

What is your question/ point of this thread?

The BA airbox/snorkle can be fitted to a EF/EL with a bit of tinkering.

i think he is running a BA airbox atm.

i would still use the BA box as it still would have better flow then an EB to AU.

Here's a John Holmes intake snorkel for ya relaxed-diplomacy. Fits e-series EF/EL airbox.

Holy toledo, that's a brain bender. I'll have to think about that. You could loose parts in that when you work on your car! It's kind of scary, like it could suck a part of you in. No probs with flow i imagine.

Holy crap! I've been waiting for someone to make a full length over-radiator intake to suit e-series. I gather that's a one-off?

Even though i dimpled the guard on my EB, the top of the BA airbox still hit the underside of my bonnet, so i also fitted the rubber mounting grommets from an earlier model airbox, and then it was fine.

I do like the look of that ultra-mega snorkel, but does it reduce the efficiency of the radiator? And would the end do much, is it worth having there? I like the possibility of significant ram effect.
