Hi,

I have a 1990 EA 3.9L MPI that is almost dead, I'm looking to replace it with an ED, EL or AU engine but am unsure which one to go with.

I've been told there's no real difference between these engines except their age... is this true?

Is it better/easier to stay with an E series engine or move to AU?

Thanks in advance

Have a read of this:

It's also not far from the top of the 6 cylinder page.

Also, Welcome to fordmods :)
