I was getting a lot of noise from inside my rocker cover so I decided to open it up and look inside. To my surprise two of the rocker arms had begun to eat into the pedastools about 1-2 mm.

These are no doubt the source of the evil tapping. This got me thinking, I should just go all out and do everything at once.

I want to replace the head with an AU head and carry out MPFI conversion all in one hit. Tell me what you think or if you have any parts which might help me out.

IMO i would stick with a EF/EL heads, MPI conversions are very easy,

The reason I say a EF/EL head, is because there are more cams out there for them than the AU heads,

I can help you out with parts that you need,

The only thing with doing the MPI conversion is that you need a MPI mainfold from the same series as your car, Some of them have different wiring.

There are ways to work around the wiring aren't there?

if your albert instine yes.

seriously dude get the proper manifold/wiring suited to your car. EA88 - get a 88 manifold EA89 - get a 89 manifold

its not worth mucking around with the wiring for no reason, so much easier if you have the right s**t.
