theyre was a ke rolla here in perth with a 245 hemi in it.

got pix of it sumwhere but god knows where anymore.

had radiator in the boot coz no room in front of motor anymore.
also the floor pan had to be cut out and welded up as the auto box sat high up and the bonnet had a big hole in it to incororate the motor also..

There was a guy who years ago put a 318 V8 Val motor & auto and mid mounted it into a Galant. That was in Bundaberg i think. Wasn't regestered, just a paddock basher.
A mate of mine has a 351 Clevo in a VW beetle (approx 65 mod), it has 2 VW g'boxes, facing each other, with a big chain running from the clutch assem'y down to the joined input shafts. So the engine sits up above the most rear g'box. It has dual gearshift so it swaps cogs together.
So it has 6 wheels, the rear is 4 wheel drive, the problem is when you flatten it, you got no steering, so to turn, you have to back off, then turn, and back on the gas again. Makes it exciting to dodge trees in the back paddock though. Its just a paddock basher.

ok there are some crazy idea been done hear

yes i am doing it for shore

did some more measuring tonight, hight wise im right looks like i can sit the hole motor pritty low (for a big 6) might have some troubles with the wiidth of were the bellhousing is, can be sohore till i start to put it in, as for length!! will have to sit number 5 and 6 exhaust ports inside the firewall and most likly the number 6 intake runner a bit? as well as half the starter motor, will have to move the pedals over about 2''s to the right each, and the flywheel will be pritty much besdie my left foot :? and the shifter will be ok just want beable to run the hand brake any more.

well its goin to be a lil tight but ill get it in, will be mad with a T4 of the side :D

A mate of mine has put a twin turbo 3 litre V6 from a 300ZX into his 85 Collora Sedan, full custom stainless exhaust headers and system. Also runs a 5spd box and 9" diff. He's must sorting out the computer and she's a runner.

also can some one plez tell me for shor eif an XF i6 is not the same length as the ea i6

no they are not. the ea i6 is longer. by how much i cant be exactly sure but a 250 fits well in a cortina engine bay and when i converted my cortina to ED I6 i had heaps of length issues. i couldnt run the water pump, i had to convert it to serp belt as well just so it would all fit.

i reckon an ea engine assembled is approx 100mm longer than a 250

I measured a 250 and a 4.0 the other day - exactly the same length.

Hmmm... The speedo in the Courier just clicked over 392,000 km and the poor old G6 is starting to feel its age.

I know where there's enough 3.9/4.0 bits to piece an engine together...

With an R6 and RPD magic, T5 and 4.11's in the diff it'd make an awesome sleeper.

yeah go for it, mmm good idea there, so if i was to put the set up off a xh ute with the single belt drive, would it be any shorter in the front? cos that would be good, means i might beable to fit a cooler
