Hey guys

My EA use to have starting issues where ther was no spark so i replaced all the leads/plugs, Dizzy cap, the module on the dizzy, ignition coil, starter motor adn after all that i got her to start. But 1 week later she has got the same problem again where there is no spark. I am very annoyed atm and am totally lost on what to do next. IS there anyone that can enlighten me?

I gather it is turning over but no starting..

Have you replaced the distributor?
XR9ute was telling me the Hall Effect module in it fails so either rpolace the hall effect or just go and buy a 2nd hand dizzy!!

good luck

I was told its not worth replacing the Hall Effect ~$80-90. The Distributor form Bursons was something like $155 new.

Had a very similar issue in my XG .... it could be a coil ... common item to go on them ... more common than the ingition module on them.

It just died on me ... the car cranked ... but didn't kick over.
NRMA told me there was no spark coming through my leads.
Got it towed ... the mechanic told me they are very common to go on them (pain in the a** to get to as well).

Get it checked out ... could either be the coil or the ignition module ... but more than likely the coil.

Get someone qualified to check it out.
