hey all
ive got a problem with my eb wagon after a day and a half the battery is drained dead
i havent done any new work to it and i just bought a new battery and same thing dead again
charging is fine and alternator is 12 months old

can anyone help me im going nuts
oh and its a 4l non smartlock

Are the glovebox light boot light or courtousy lights staying on when the car is closed up.
Chuck a multi meter on your battery when the car is off and see what kind of volts your getting. Would give more insight into what's draining it.
If you get what I mean.

Also you could try pulling fuses from systems you suspect may be at fault, if one of those appears to be responsible then you can diagnose the exact problem.

I'd check the horn pad. Eb falcons have problems where the padding in the horn pad breaks down n causes the horn to come on by itself. i've seen people disconnect the horn wiring harness at the horn but forget about the fact the relay is still powered up and this causes the battery to go flat in about two to three days.

Just because the alternator was new 12 months ago does not mean its ok now. If you have a power steering leek it will drip on top of it.
Must check how many volts with engine running and how many while cranking.
Get these for us and we can work from there.

also clean earth points. happened alot when i was working for RACV.
