Just bought a Bosch alternator for my eb1 but it has a grooved belt pulley much wider than the grooved belt on the car. I thought that the only difference was grooved or V belt. Are there two sizes of grooved belt alternator pulleys and If so can I just change pulleys on my new alternator? Any spacers involved for the much narrower grooved belt pulley I need?

no spaces involved you just need a puller to pull off the pulley off and replace it with the other one the pulley you would have on it now would be an ef,el one mine was the same then i just changed the pully with my old one worked fine

The EB1 has a V-belt as std to my knowledge. I think the best option would be to take the alternator back and get the right one.

Unfortunately I cant get a replacement over ebay. Can anyone tell me if AW331052 is the correct Bosch alternator for EB? Or is this alternator for EF/EL? BTW it 85 amps.
