Hi guys been cruising fordmods for a couple of months now but first time poster . . . I have an eb I monty and I cannot get the a/c fan to turn off even after I turn the car off. . . I can't seem to find a fuse for it to disconect it and I have tried changing the control box with an old one out of my ea monty . . . So I disconected the plug directly from the fan under the dash as I can't seem to figure out what the problem is and I was left wondering if it has something to do with the ignition?? Any advice is greatly appreciated and if u guys do think it is the ignition would th ignition from my ea monty go straight in without any ecu issues because of smartlock or not?

sounds like a dodgy fan speed controller to me.

Try doing a diagnostic reset on the climate control and check for any faults. If none, then you'll have to start fault finding.

Put the ignition to on (with motor not running) and press floor and the off button at the same time.. takes around 20-30 secs to reset.. I think that's how you do it but I may be wrong

well mine was doing similar problems so i replaced the fan speed controller and it is fixed. do this, i promise it will fix it and it only takes 15 minutes to do...

first, acquire a fan speed controller from a wrecker, mine cost $45- i know it was a rip but i was desperate...

then pull out the glove box. then undo about four plugs. then remove four screws and manipulate it out.

then clean out all of the leaves. then replace. plug in the plugs. put in the glovebox.

done.
