Sounds like it could be the ICS. Not sure what else it could be, unless uve got a timing issue.

map sensor / vacuum leak, has it had this problem right after the head being done, or has there been some time between the head and this problem?

u can check the timing by using a timing light if u know how, [when it comes to timing i let the professionals take over]

use a timing light to check the timing, easy stuff, for the map sensor go to a wreckers and get 1, let them know it is to check a problem with your car, and make sure they will give a refund if it is not your problem, to check vacuum leak, get a can of carby clean from repco, about $5, and spray around all your vacuum lines 1 by 1, if your revs change you know where your leak is. is all very easy to do.

i have the same problem.

it first happened to me a few years ago. i got a new engine put in and the first 500kms it was doing this

after the first 500km it stopped.

i have just moved and the mechanic i took it to replaced the cluch and its happening again. the mechanic said "its just the computer give it some time and it will be right." i waited 4mths/3000kms and it was still doing it. he said "must be the idle speed cost $50 to raise it"

the funny thing is i had to go away from home for family reasons and when i got there 1200kms away, the car ran great. no dropping of revs at all.

as soon as i got back home it started doing it again.

mine is the 1993 ford eb series 2 S pac.

any help would be great too.

mine was doing this just recent make sure the plugs and leads are not the thing to be blamed but clean out the map sensor (behind inlet manifold on fire wall) and isc solenoid (top of throttle body) helped mine out.

****UPDATE****

just got my car chipped (sct chip) and extractros installed.

found out that the computer was giving me way too much fuel and not enough air....

the installer installed these mods and also increased the base idle slightly......

car now has much more power and also has not stalled due to falling revs once.

so i would suggest adjusting base idle, if that dosent work then chip it , its sooooo worth the money and you will have complete controll over the computer.

hey everyone, ive got a nf fairlane 6 about this time last year i put a brand new tickford head and stg 2 cam and since then my car has been doing that just at idle the revs will go from 500 to 1000, i have cheacked the timing and it is spot on i have spoking to that place i got my billet cam from and thay said thay have never had a problem and it should run good with all standed settings, everybody said the computer has to lean but since then i have done 48000 ks i think it should of learnt by now lol i have changed the following,

1 isc
2 map sensor
3 tps
4 oxygen sensor
5 plugs
6 coil pack
7 leads
8 cheacked for vac leaks

any ideas would be fantastic?
