Hey guys, first of all i gotta be honest gave my car a bit of a flogging last night, a lot more then i normally do and after about an hour or so of driving my car started making this strange clicking noise, the speed of the clicking is in conjunction with the revs. At first i thought i was low on oil so i filled it up today (20-50 mind you) and after a couple of hours and starting it a couple of times its STILL making the freakin noise! its got about 234xxx k's on the clock so i try not to worry but it wont go away and its freaking me out :S any idea on what it could be and/or how to get rid of it? cheers for replys

Sounds like your Tappet's try an oil change after flogging it for an hour.

get an old nock sensor from the wreckers that works you can test them by putting a multimeter across the terminal pins set on continuity and knock a small hamer on it you should get a beep or display on the screen if its working, hold the knock sensor on the top of the cylinder bore on the outside of the block just under the head if its piston knock it will show on the meter otherwise it will prob lifters

possibility but unsual noise for a broken giude use a hrd handled screwdriver thats long enough to get your head out of the road and listen inside the cover by placing it against the cover, unlikley that would be the noise
