hi guys ive got a eb fairmont with a t5 gearbox in it and i want to put a au xr6 motor in just wanna know if it will bolt up to it considering i have done the other mods to the engine.

it will fit, but if you dont use a au bellhousing the 4 lower bolts on the au engine wont line up..
i ran mine without the 4 lower bolts for a year without any problems,

if you will be getting a roady on it drill and tap the 4 holes so you can put a bolt through is alot easier with box and engine out of car than in i learnt the hard way haha

How hard would it be to find an au manual bellhousing

not quite as easy as an e series, but they are around... as time goes on au parts are getting easier to find and are getting cheaper..

It's one of those parts that clowns won't sell for less than $300 like common V8 parts that are wrongly perceived as rare. Just use the Eb one and do as others here suggested.

ill have a look around for a au one as the car would be doing prob couple track days once its done so it has to with stand a bit of stress
