yeah you need bolts... i think it cost me $160 from ford the bolts were like 90 and the gasket about 70 Roughly.

I have reused the headbolts in mine, no dramas. i guess it's up to you, but you do risk snapping them when reusing them.

i know, i accidently snapped a flex plate bolt, luckily you can remove them easily if they snap

i dunno what ill do yet... got 2 other cars i need to work on aswell in the meantime... plus work fulltime... lol i love cars :P

ordered a VRS kit and a set of new head bolts, set me back $150 in total.. just need some more oil + filter and plugs and that should see the job done for $200

Hi There

Its your call, but with the alloy head, you really should have it
machined ( re - surfaced ) as a bare minimum.

Or at least get a long accurate straight edge and feeler gauges
and check the surface is dead even.

what does VRS stand for? seems a real weird acronym.

anyway! bit of a update!...

all done now, cars back to normal driving nicely
cyc6 was nearly hydrolocked!!

gotta do a headgasket on my turbo supra now :p
