gday theres a bit of a tapping noise comin from my engine is it somthin i should worry about or is it the usual

Try putting some fresh oil in there, and a new oil filter.
Might be lifters gone otherwise, do a search as there's plenty of threads lately about those!

Yeah it could be sticky lifters or injectors, put some injector cleaner in the fuel tank and the change oil etc at the same time. If that doesnt fix the problem then mabe the lifters are in need of replacement.

Nulon lifter treatment stuff and an oil change will probably do the trick.

You need to listen carefully to where the ticking is coming from, injectors make a faint ticking noise not normally heard with the hood down. This is normal and you don't need to worry.
Lifters also can make a ticking noise if, the engine is low on oil, the oil is old, or they are faulty. Lifter noise will normally disappear when engine revs increase. however you will need to fix this.
