Hi guys, I picked up an ED futura 4.0 the other day that has a problem starting. Its definately an electrical problem as i am definately getting fuel. It is cranking but wont fire.
Have cleaned relay contacts and resoldered suspect joins on smartlock module and replace the brown ecu relay under the overflow bottle.
What are some other common issues with these as im pretty stumped !
Cheers guys

Nah its not getting spark. TFI is something i've just been told of so i might try and find a secondhand one and try it out. Will i get no spark if the tfi is faulty ? Cheers

Coil or TFI. Check the coil is good first and if that's okay, check the TFI which is a known issue with the distributor set up.

When checking the coil, remove it, and it's mounting bracket to check for cracks in the plastic casing.

Come on man, do you A, continue to track down the no spark issue, next in line is the coil, or B make a thread on fordmods and get told the obvious.

Howd you go anyway?
