hey guys, had a quick search for fuel consumption results but couldn't find any specifics. anyone got any idea on a 1994 ED manual fuel consumption, per 100 kilometres? im yet to figure out the figures on my car myself so just looking at what an average number would be?

My 94 ED T5 Futura returned just under 8l per 100k on the highway between Wagga and Sydney. As it was Easter Weekend that was all to the speed limit. LOL
Couldn't have been much more overall as I had plenty of fuel left when I reached the Central Coast and I only filled up in Wagga.
BenJ wouldn't have used much more, if any, with his EL engine loping along with cruise control. Those double demerits are an incentive to improve fuel economy. LOL
Cheers,
Paul

my 93 ED fairmont T5 manual gets about 550 to a tank, mainly city driving but even country doesn't do much more. i think mine has a problem with the injectors etc though, plus full exhaust.

None were manual, but my 94 ED XR6 and ED Classic did 400-450 (Petrol Unleaded)

my old ED XR manual gave b/t 520-600 mixed driving... had full exhaust and cam...

Loved to run on BP fuel for some reason!

Mine gives me 300ks a tank, auto 6cyl but I am sorting out the issues one at a time  and I am thinking it is the O2 sensor which could be faulty as there are all new plugs/leads/filter ect...idle is very sporadic when cold then when it is warm it settles down but when doing say 100/120k's it is hesitant..like about to run out of fuel..

My fairmont is crap in the city, but awesome on the highway.. around 650-700km per tank, perhaps alittle more..

in the city, the cam and exhaust lend themselves to putting the boot in a lot, so I lose economy there.. spend about 40 a week driving to work and back a week.

Hi ARTISTPWR, I had the same symptoms was you, cleaned the injectors with a slight improvement. Took it to the Doctor who cleaned the injectors again (didn't listen). The problem turned out to be the Map sensor. It now runs better than ever. Sensor $85 finding problem $350.

i dont have any figures since of the 5 speed EA 6cyl but it doesn't get much out of the tank... not terrible kms but certainly not good.

whenever I start her up it smells like aviation fuel.. is it running too rich? any cure for the problem? I know better spark plugs etc needed to improve lpg economy, any suggestions for the petty engine?

Under 12 is a good average for mixed driving. My car is a EF 5spd, and it averages 10.2-8l/100km with mostly in town driving, and a little bit of hwy.
