My ED died on me today so I pulled over to the side of the road and started checking things. I dissconnected the hose from the fuel rail and my mate tried to start it but there was no fuel pumping through.....So I'm guessing the fuel pump is buggered. If so then I'll replace the fuel filter while I'm at it too.
Whats the average price to get a new fuel pump and fuel filter supplied/fitted? I was quoted roughly $300 all up, Does that sound like a fair price?

Mine cost $220 fitted, you could do it yourself and save some $$.

Hi There
Before you jump the gun, make sure the fuel pump relay is OK. With regards to the pump.... It depends which brand of pump the quote included. If its for a Bosch ?? then the quote may be reasonable. I got a 'cheaper" Fuel Miser brand for about $130 for my EA but installed it mself. Good Luck |

How hard is it to install the fuel pump in a ED?

if its a direct replacement then s**t easy,,its just getting the lock ring off that can be a pain.
my new pump is a fuelmiser and it was $175. and i also recommend replacing the filter as well,which i'll be doing tomorrow.

I just got my car back.....They fitted a Fuel Miser fuel pump. All up to supply and fit it cost a total of $266.
