hey just fitted my ported & shaved ef head to my au bottom end, had some trouble with timing marks, also fitted stage 4 cam & adjustable cam gear  .............

now it wont idle under 1500 rpm runs really rough and after 2 minutes extractor pipes 1,2, & 3 start to glow, 4,5 & 6 are fine  ............

is this a timing issue or a fuel issue?, still running standard manual ecu til piggy back turns up, just want to be able to drive it etc no racing or high revving etc :?:

any help would be greatly appreciated :P

how did you run the cam in your ment to lube it up and run it between 1500 and 2000 rpm for 30 min other wise the lobes will turn round and you wont have any rocker arms left

bollocks. never heard of running in the I6 cam.

if their glowing then you might have a timing problem or its very lean, have a feel and see if pipes 4,5,6 are warm? just use common sense, they may be very hot so dont grab it whole handed.

i would be checking and making sure you have fuel and spark on 4,5,6. if it wont idle then perhaps those cylinders are not firing.

This is only true of conventional standard flat tappet cams. You cover them in molybendum grease and run it in as you described.

Roller cams just need to be oiled.
