hi
it will work there is a few threads on this..

i just did a el bbm into my ea its fairly easy if your good with engines and wiring..

the manifold will fit straight on but you need the ef thermostat housing and heater pipe(the one that runs from the waterpump and runs around the back of the engine) and the pipe from the thermostat housing as the eb one will hit the manifold..
with the wiring you can use the eb manifold loom you just have to extend the wires for the tps and the isc..
otherwise the only other issue is the switch for the bbm.. you can use a rpm switch to activate the bbm runners but i think its not to good(i have pinging issues with it set up this way)because of the different fuel and timing maps...
your best option is to get a el ecu and run the extra wires for the bbm switch...
thats what im doing in the next day or so..

you say you got the ecu? if its a ef ecu it won't
plug into the eb loom ...because ef use coil packs like the au..
and el have a distributor like eb and ed..
so you might have to get a el ecu as it will plug straight into your loom...

ill let you know how mine goes.......

you need a hell of a lot more than just the coil packs to make it work. To be honest its not even worth trying, just get an EL ecu.
