ef bottom end packin it in?

Ef bottom end has always made a slight noise when idling especially when due for an oil change, but this morning I drove it round the corner to pick up a mate and it was a louder thumping sound I guess, Its hard to explain its lika tapping/ thumping sound but its definatly not a noisey injector or lifter so is the bottom end dieing slowly and painfully?

In short, Id say yes as my EB is doing the same thing. Mine is a dying big end bearing on #1.

Thats great f**k news my next problem to fix is an engine lol I expected it was bottom end, 350 000 kms with me driving for its past 40 thousand doesnt help the situation

Mines been knocking for about 4 years ,knocks and slaps heaps around 1000rpm but still running nice and smooth up to 408,000 now, its a ford it can take it ,thicker oil works a treat.ive been waiting for ages for it to die so i can replace it .
