nope. but at a minimum you really only need to run 1 wire through the firewall for the bbm switching,
and there is one more thing, you will also need to add that one pin and wire to the ecu plug aswell..

OK, a quick list of what is needed to do a BBM and serpentine conversion.

BBM plus modified loom
Airbox and piping
If you do it the way i did its best to get a complete motor with all accessories.
New water pump plus gasket
New radiator plus hose from the coolant tank to the radiator and the water pump to radiator.
EF thermostat top, need to keep the bottom as it has the sender for your temp guage.
Associated wiring for the BBM
Thermo's if you dont already have them as when you change you loose the clutch fan.

I cant seem to think of anything else.

I have the cam, but not the knowledge to install or dial it in, so as such it wont be changed at this stage.

There's enough threads on here detailing how to fit and run a std I6 cam.

I've fitted a 94DA EF cam to my XH when I did the BBM conv - it's original cam was a 91DA.
The cam in my EL is a 94DA number as well.

The numbers are cast in the billet between the lobes - they are pretty easy to spot.

Thnaks mate, will check it tomorrow. If it is a 94DA, will have to look at organising a cam swap day, as they are a little beyond my capabilities.

You're very capable.
There isn't much difference in degree duration between the cams, but having said that, there isn't much between std and XR cams either, but the end result is noticeable.
It would probably go fine with the current setup, but as I say, best to have the tune matched - ford wouldn't have changed cam profiles if they didn't have to.

Youll be right Brett, ive managed a cam change or two and im a long way from mechanically sound.

Youve completed the BBM which has given me some hope.

imo if you going to extremes of putting a std cam that is the same cam thats in there, you might aswell put an xr6 or a small wade cam..

from the info i have the cam profiles are the same, just the number has changed due to the year the 94da cams were made, they just ran out of 91da cams and cast up a new batch in 1994.. making them a 94da..

if you doubt it contact wade cams they could tell you, if the cams were different there regrind profiles would differ slightly from a 91da regrind to a 94da regrind,, and they dont!...
