The OP didn't say if it was his pride & joy, if it is, it might be worth fixing. If it's not, it's not worth fixing it.

As for the tint question, yes, some did have factory tint. My Eb Ghia has factory tint, but it's nowhere near as dark as the car in the pics!

Cheers

EL's had smarttint, toughened glass, also front windows were 5mm thickness instead of 3mm.

Definitely not worth fixing...for $2500 you can get an EF in driveable condition...or even EL. Too much damage to even worth the hassle. As said before, great parts car.

i'd fix it. for 2.5k you could get another ef, but it would have a high km driveline and a average body. It would also be a lower spec gli or futura. If you spend 2.5k on this you will have a good cond, low km Fairmont.

Wouldnt waste my time. Id guess at at least a 2 grand bill for the panel work. My EL parts car has a shunt in exactly the same place but not as bad and it has a bend in front of the wheel arch and has all sorts of broken and busted s**t underneath. Unless you can get all the bits dirt cheap or another car to strip, have a friendly panel beater that doesnt mind pulling it all straight for next to nothen as well as the paint, then consider it a write off. Get another one thats straight and put all the Fairmont bits in it. Quote to fix mine was well over 2k.

Also you will have a car wich is about due for a 100,000k servise, and getting to the time when a lot of parts start to fail and require replacement, rather then a car wich has a good logbook record and a price tag of ~2500 + some time and petty cash searching.

And 2500 is f**k cheap for fixing that!
Includes paint and parts?
