i think it was tickford_6 that got a flat 15, thats the highest time i've seen for an un-opened engine.
my gli ran 15.2, manual, extractors/zorst.
from factory the xr6 ran a 15.37 according to motor magazine.

yeah 15 flat with the basics extractors, 2.5inch system, K&N filter, bigger intake. only other thing i used that most dont is an MSD DIS-4.

i still think it had more in it (14.9) but our track leaves alot to be desired.
it's a recycled air strip from world war 2, and traction is hard to come by.

but we'll never know now..

Tickford_6 is that a munal or auto

if its a manual i think you should be getting a quiker time, but then again, if its not a real run somehwere back streets, timers can often be dodgy.

quicker??? thats 15 flat down from 15.7 it did when i got it, thats one of the fastest times anyone here has for an completely un-opened engine. not to bad realy for a 220 000km old oil burner

Manual or auto? if its auto its about right i reckon, Manual to me sounds abit slow

A mate of mine ran a AU falcon manual with Gears done and LSD 15.09, but he is a very good driver.

EL XR6s id think stock 15.1 to 15.3-4? for a manual. so if yours is a mnaul should be dipping into the 14s id think.

ELs are no faster then EFs.

and yeah sure when they are new and on a good track they could do 15.3 on a good run and 15.5s all day. but add 220 000km stiff suspension, old tyres summer heat and a less then good track and you just can't run those times.

but some how i feel you are only try to stir, because anyone with any idea will not that a 15 flat iwth an EF 5 speed XR6 is a good time

I told you, if its Auto i think its a good time, but if its manual with Exhaust extractors K&N Filter and bigger intake i think you should be getting quiker times

If a mate of mine in a AU manual can do 15.0 with gears and LSD, im pretty confident that an EL/EF XR6 could do very similiar stock.

and NO im not stirring up trouble, your 220,000kms obviously is a factor but thats my opinion

you never answered if its manual or auto
