IS THE TIMING MARKS ON THE EF MOTOR THE SAME AS THE EL AND IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE DIFFERENCES WHEN I SET THE TIMING? OR ARE THE MAIN BLOCKS AND HEADS EXACTLY THE SAME?

Exactlly the same all u have to do is change the wiring loom like crank angle sensors all the wires on the el engine that u unplug from your cars wiring must go on the new engine as the ef has coil pack n run but one thing make sure that your distributor gear is in good condition as if not can bind up with the distributor drive gear n will cause the car to not spark other then that it's easy I put a Ef engine in my mates Ed N had to change the wiring loom n all the front pulleys as the don't run syperntine belts but all bolted up fine
