I have the rear resonator removed on my EB and just one muffler and the car sounds quite nice. It actually was droning with the resonator on it. Dont think my car is illegal loud as the police have never mentioned anything to me and ive been pulled up numerous times for RBT's

Well my car is running a 2 1/4 inch exhaust with a sports muffler and no resonator and it sounds tuff. I have had a few people ask if my car is a v8. As i said ive had no problems with the police but on the flip side not being a P plater and not having my car done up over the top also helps me not get attention from the boys in blue.

i think you be better if you got a 2 1/5" with a straight through muffler and no resonator. thats all my eb has got, it also has no cat and its manual

i have a resi right after the cat and a straight through muffler.... it sounds bloody good to me. no drone (or next to none) its a i6 with auto, bout as close as u can get to sounding like a v8.... passed the 95dB test too. so i was happy.

I have a resie on my 2'5 sports exhaust (race muffler + hiflow cat) and it got rid of drone somewhat between 1000-2200rpm range but actually made it louder higher up in the rev range.. also installing Pacemaker headers added to its effect..lol and also mine is an auto/6cyl..

But i suggest keeping it stock and if u want it louder but not overly loud change the muffler to a sports muffler/straight through. Leave the resi and leave the cat. Will sound better but wont be illegally loud either.

Mines the exact same model as yours and thats how ive got it set up for now.
Took the rear resinator off the stock system, makes it sound much better than standard.
Even then its not that loud just sounds nicer
