hey guys what should my oil gauge be at i have never realy taken notice of it but now it floats arount 6-7 up to the orange

Depends on the grade of oil you use and the condition of the engine.

Mine runs in the same place. I use a 20w-50 oil.
A 15w-40 will lower the oil pressure.

But don't worry about it these gauges are not known for their accuracy.

yeh, i think anyone with an ef/el in dash oil guage ignores them.

mine happily floats in the red up top randomally...

ill be crusing along, 1 bar from top, itll jump into red, 10 seconds later itll be back down

i never pay attention to mine, it sits right in the middle most of the time, hardly ever goes up or down....

mine jumps up and down all the time...changes when i'm on a hill and in different gears/revs

Mitch if it changes when drive up a hill I would be putting some oil in it.
This should not happen!!
Oil pressure depends on many things, oil age, oil temp, RPM, oil viscosity, filter age, oil regulator spring tension and oil releif valve spring tension.

I alwys look at mine, then you know when its normal, and when something is wrong, whats the point in having a top dash, if you dont use it?????
