hey my dads ef fairmont broke down the other day. The step mum was drivin it and said that all she saw was steam comin from the right hand side of the bonnet then is drop all the coolant. Now the thermos wont kick in at all. We have replaced the fuse, the relays and tested the sensor, Our next option would be try another computer.Any help would be great.

how was the coolant lost? was it dumped all over the road, or was coolant lost through say the engine?

Check the oil and make sure there isn't any milky white colouration to it.

All on the road, checked oil already. The cooling sys is all workin ok its holds pressure its only the thermos wont work.They work if u give them power manually.
