sounds like you could have a problem with the 2-4 band in your auto slipping.. if its really sluggish and using heapsa petty, it may be slipping while you drive..

get under there and give the belt screw (like a square socket) a half turn to tighten it.. this may help before you burn it to death.

dont go f**k with it if you dont have a clue cos overtightening it will snap it, and its like 2000 for auto rebuild

easier (well at least cheaper) to get manny conversion!

(like i did)

this may not be your problem so maybe take it somewhere get it looked at.

my EL tickford system ran 450kms on 65l now it does 500+ with my pacies on. Now, if i have a fuel econ increase of 11.1% does that mean that there could be a sim increase in rwkw? hehehe, like to hear ppls thoughts!

I get about 17L/100km in pwr around town, about 15L/100km in econ around town and about 8.5L/100 highway.

My finace gets about 14.5L/100km around town in econ.

All those figures are on Optimax aswell with the aircon averaging about 30% of driving time on.

Most of my driving is purely up hill, down hill, up hill, down hill all teh way to work and back home.

I've noticed that in pwr mode, the atuo slips one hell of a lot going from 1st to 2nd @ about 4000rpm. You feel it shift and then the engine just stays @ about 4000rpm for about 5 seconds. Is this normal?

We've never got the auto serviced since we've had the car, and I don't know how the previous owners looked after it.... but it's getting it's fluid changed in the next week or so. Could it just be worn out trans fluid?
