Hi guys,

I bought a whole dash out of an EF Gli recently for $50. I pulled the cluster out and the back of the cluster if different to another cluster I have.

Both clusters are definately from an EF Gli and are of course 4 gauge clusters.

Does anybody know why there is a difference. The new cluster works fine in my sisters Gli but am curious.

basically VDO ran out of gli/futura/xr ghia cluster backs and slapped on a Fairlane backing, that slot is allocated for the connector for the lamp fail circuit on the hi series cluster.

also, the diode/resistor you see must be a different revision but the same item.

makes SFA diiference to your cluster :P

Probaly all have the cutout section - my '94 Police cluster does, as well as the diode.
