Looking to make my car manual but not entirely sure what to go for. I've got a 95 EFII falcon, 2.5"exhaust with extractors and hi flow cat. Do I just wanna look for ef trans or will any e series T5 work?

Cheers, Jack.

Any 6 cylinder E-series T5 will fit mechanically. Wiring will need to be redone to accomodate. V8 T5 will not fit the 6 cylinder unless the input shaft is changed due to different lengths.

An AU T5 will also fit, but might need an E-series bellhousing for a proper fit, but an AU bellhousing can be fitted...just 2 lower bolts won't be needed.

AU T5 is longer. it will not work.

AU T5 is longer by about 50mm.

Any 6cyl T5 will fit from XF to EL. You must use the E-series bell-housing though.
The T5 was updated to a stronger version at EB2.

EDIT: Never mind the questions, just found that you need to cut a hole in the E-series to accomodate the AU T5...my bad for the mis-information.

You can but the shifter is about 50mm further back on the AU T5.
