hey guys..

im goin to make my car manual.. i want to know if an EA gearbox would fit...

YES!.. i have an EA t5 in my EF Fairmont... it definatly works!.. although some ea parts are needed too.. to make it work... not quite sure exactly what parts though.... bell housing??

considering the time and effort required to do the job, the couple of hundred for an el box might be worth spending. At least all of the mounting points will match up.

you might be able to get it cheap if you buy it with the other parts you'll need.

EA T5 fits aslong as you source like all bits of one model but not chop and change for example ea flywheels are different from ED EL etc etc..

EAI/II EBI is EAI/II EBI

EBII ED is EBII ED so on and so foruth (this is as i know it i may be wrong or slightly off.
