On a general note about searching, I find searching to be often VERY unsatisfactory thanks to the number of people who just go quiet once they find what they're after or sort their issue without posting final info. You often find any number of items where others are chasing the same thing you're after with all of you in the same boat - best available is threads that taper off with no final info.

For that reason - along with the fact that the forum is a dynamic thing I think it's entirely fair for people to just post their questions - indeed doing so IS kind of a search...

^^^Agree so much! I have lost count of the number of times this has happened to me.

On the topic of searching. I use google to search through forums if the question I'm asking is a bit obscure.
For example for hydraulic clutch I would search "T5 Hydraulic clutch site:fordmods.com"
That will search only fordmods. But it certainly relies on correct spelling for it to work.
