i've got a 4lt. manual ef II and was wondering if anyone knows how to bypass the factory speed limiter (180km/h). can it be done without a new chip or piggyback?

if you do a search on this site you will find the answer to your question, doing this you will find that that speed limiter is there for a reason.

if its manny , maybe ya could take your speedo cog out. dunno.

mm i agree. last time i hit 190 (believe it or not) i had an epifhany of me doing a front flip when the shaft snapped at the front launchin car over me.

like that bastard in matrix reloaded when he uses that silver ?ford? thingy as a trampoline.

get a 2 piece made up from a diff centre or something, then take it down the local track

my plan was to replace diff/tailshaft, get an XR6 head, possibly even a forced induction setup, for the purpose of track competition, although it will be a daily driver. Rapier, not everyone are street racing hooligans, we do have respect for other road users
