as the title says will the rocker cover off an ef fit on to an eb if both motors are both a straight 6 4.0 litre

i know that the eb rocker cover has 4 dome nuts that hold it down how would i cahnge it from nuts to tne bults

i have never tried it but the top corners of the head where the rubber half moons meets the cover might be a little diffrent i think the eb at that point has a 90 degree right angle and the later heads ED upwards where the half moons where built into the cover where a rounded off corner

Fits fine.

You'll need the 4 bolts which come with the new rocker cover, and I'd suggest a new rocker cover gasket to suit the new rocker cover.

You will need to remove the studs out of the EB rocker gear. Easily done with a couple of nuts, or vice grips, or whatever takes your fancy.

Note that the spark plug organisers on the EF rocker cover don't quite suit the EB. EL would probably be a better suit - but this is just minor.
