i would say either really hard shifts..... or.... flaring on changes - slipping between gears.

dont want to hijack but mine is shifting hard 1-2 only when cold...and clunks 2-1...
has dirty oil but dont want to waste $100 on oil if i need to junk the tranny and start again anyway...shes got 310 on the clock

hmmmmm hard 2 say.... mine did that... then all of a sudden 2nd and 4th died.

thanx to everyone for there help think i might just ahve to call it dead. ill have a look at the bands but if that doesnt solve it i spose i will wait until i can save up cash 2k is a bit steep only got the car for 4k. its done about 290000k's so if the tightening the bands dont work ill run it to the ground.
really appreciate the help guys. cheers |

Hey Sulphur,
i work for a ford dealer that does autos for other dealers if you are close to Rex Gorells get a quote on a auto from them as i know we sell them to Rex it will still be at least $1500 im guessing |
