It took me a fair bit of research to get mine going good above 4000. Was always brilliant off the line but lacked top end but with the airbox mods and another stepper motor if finally pulls above 3500 to redline.

My dual-fuel (Sprintgas) AU labours from around 3400 to 4000 on the tacho, about where the BBM switches over (3800), then picks up again to just past 5000 or so. I've modded my intake, 3" pipe into the airbox with a pod on the end, plus a snorkel. I'll be making another intake mod soon to force more air in

you got lpg plugs in it???? NGK BP6EY gapped to .9 for LPG runs alot better

cheers for that gezza thought red books had missed one. aparently not. wtf would it make less power? ED's did away with clutch fans and went to thermo's, they should on that fact alone make more. weirdness.

I remember that from one of the articles I read... they de-tuned the ED slightly for some reason.

Ive never in all my years seen an ED with factory clutch fans. all the ones Ive seen have factory fitted thermo's. they put them on the ED as a pre trial before the EF.

They ALL had clutch fans, no ED came with factory thermos.

very odd... I not long ago went and pulled a motor out of an ED to put into mine..

It had clutch fans... it now has thermos.

every single ED I've seen has had a clutch fan.
