You don't know s**t about the car so it doesn't help. If it is a CA18DE you will be about even with it, the SR20DE has about the same power, with heaps less weight. forget about the torque difference.

why forget about torque? Torque is what makes power :lol:

I reckon just try and shed some weight off the falcons and ull be flying....especially the doors....those things are reinforced and heavy as...though u can't substitute for safety =(.....thats it im going to make nanotubes viable to make lighter doors with the same strength...

driving without doors is a f**k stupid idea! :?

the silvia owner would s**t himself and stall if you try to drag with half the car still at home :lol:

okay fine keep the drivers side door intact and u should have lost at least 200kgs with bonnet and boot also gone....though it is advised not to drive with boot open if u have things in it...:P

but on the more serious note.....ull get munched if ur ford is in bad shape...if its in good healthy shape u might keep up with it or just win/lose.

good luck and tell us how it goes....make sure its on track please...don't want to see a topic post of u getting munched by a silvia and then gotten pulled over for speeding

phong =P~

the 1.8 had 99kw at the fly wheel T= 158Nm
the 2.0 had 102kw at the flywheelT=178NM
now does this really have a chance against the falcon?
i think not the N/A versions were crap thats why you don't see em done up no point!!!

The SR20 silvias have about 120kW at the fly don't they?
Dude, one of my friends has a non VTEC integra that would destroy most falcons here stock :s.
You're forgetting how much suspension and weight come into it all.

You'll get mauled by the turbo..

You should beat the CA, and come close to the SR at higher speeds.

japanese technology is very good. i reckon it'd be a close one and wouldn't know who would win but you must remember that they are a very light car, with a better suspension system and it's manual so more poewr to the ground, i think they have a high diff ratio like 4.11:1 so they would get off the mark quite quick. i'd have my money on the silvia.

and i think the reason you don't see many done up is it's so cheap to upgrade one to a turbo that is totally not economically viable to keep it NA, i mean it's about $2k for a second hand turbo engine or about $3k for a front cut, that is cheap as compared to turboing say a falcon!
